It's May, and Memorial Day is right around the corner. This is one of our two big buddy poppy events where we get out and educate our local friends about the great work our post does in the community, and accept donations for the relief funds. Relief funds go directly to helping Veterans and local organizations. We need your help on Saturday, Sunday, and half a day on Monday with staffing our three locations. The more comrades to sign up, the better this event is. This is a great opportunity to grab a new post member to help and/or get to know other post members you may not know. Grab your Memorial day and/or VFW apparel and let's make this the biggest relief fund event this year!

GOOD NEWS. The Council has voted to add more money to the Life Member rebate program. Anyone joining as a Life Member or upgrades to a Life Member will receive a check for 50% of their Life Member Dues from the Department Quartermaster. Make sure to notify him at email@example.com so he knows to mail you your rebate check. The Council voted a specific amount of money for this program so when it runs out the program will end so don’t delay in letting your members know about this program. Email or call the State Quartermaster if you have questions. The 50% rebate does not apply to Legacy Life but the $45 incentive still applies. The 50% rebate will be retroactive to November 15, 2021, when the original money ran out.
March 2020 marked our post charter's 75th Anniversary. The post is selling challenge coins for $10 commemorating this event.
Please take a look at our upcoming post events in the calendar. Our Events Committee is busy ensuring we have events for all to attend. If you have suggestions, please let us know! Come out and support your Post, your fellow Veterans, and the Community. Please NOTE we no longer have a Post Home. We are meeting at the American Legion Hall in Parkville, while we build a new Post Home. Please stay tuned.
